VIDEO: If the Dems Want to be Nationally Viable Again They Must Repudiate the "Progressives"

We don't see any other way out for the party

First, let me say that I am going to do more of these sorts of relatively short videos in coming weeks. They are too short to add to the podcast but hopefully you our subscribers will find value in them. We’ll do a couple each week.

It’s a nice way to broach a topic for discussion here and on our Facebook page where much of the debate happens for Against Crony Capitalism currently. Incidentally our Facebook page surpassed 5 MILLION views last month. You, our subscribers at Substack, are a MASSIVE part of us achieving that. So, thank you.

Below we assert that the Democratic Party appears to have only one way out of its current hole, and that is to essentially tell the fringe element of the party to take a hike. Otherwise the Democrats will remain, as they are now, an almost exclusively urban and in some ways a regional party. It also has a giant problem with men, but we’ll talk about that down the road.

We suppose that its possible that over time there could be some massive shift back to the far left. That somehow all that has happened with the Trump Change goes south, that the old media will once again be the chief voice of power, that America will simply forget the general disrespect given it by a ruling class that has exploited it for generations. It is possible that all that will go away.

In theory, it is possible.

But if we were in the Democratic Party leadership we’d be talking with people like Senator Fetterman and the the myriad of public people who were once Dems but have left the party of late in disgust.

AOC and the like ain’t the way forward. But we don’t know that the Democratic Party can come to terms with this.
