We post this long video because we believe that Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, is one of the most consequential leaders to emerge on the global scene in a very long time. Below he discusses in detail his successes to date, the challenges he faces, and goals he has for the future. It’s a fascinating window into a brilliant mind.

Milei is a free market, libertarian, anarcho-capitalist economist who became the president of a country that has suffered under a highly crony capitalist system for a century. His efforts are legitimately revolutionary and his commitment to honest markets and honest politics stands in stark contrast to the Argentine presidents who have come before him. He is unlike any major political leader we have ever seen.

Right from the outset Milei references our favorite economist Murray Rothbard, and Rothbard’s Monopoly and Competition, a piece that has deeply influenced us and has informed our understanding of crony capitalism at the most base level. So he starts off well.

In the rest of the discussion Milei references a number of other works, a few of which we include below.

If Milei is a “madman” we need more madmen like him.
