As I mention in the video, what Schellenberger reports on here is pretty similar to what we’ve been warning about for over a decade. Basically, embedded kill switches are right out of the Chinese Army’s warfare playbook. Literally.
In 1999 two Chinese Colonels wrote a book called Unrestricted Warfare, where the authors outline using novel methods to achieve war fighting goals. I remember that in it the authors considered how to use exploding appliances manufactured in China that could be ignited via embedded software whenever Beijing was inclined to cause chaos. (Like say during a war over Taiwan.) That was the passage that made the biggest impression on me anyway. The image of toasters in kitchens all over America going haywire one random morning just burned into my brain.
I need to go back and look at the book again.
