Carr says whenever foreign ownership is involved the process takes months so that national security agencies can do a review.

In a letter Friday, the House Oversight Committee accused FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel and other commissioners of "bypassing an established process to do a favor for George Soros and facilitate his influence over hundreds of radio stations before the November election."

In 2019 Harris said she wanted to weaponize DOJ to go after what she calls “misinformation”.

Ms. Harris seems particularly enamored with restricting the First Amendment in the name of combatting “hate speech”. (Which is whatever the politicians wish to define as “hate speech.”)

Maybe she should listen to old school liberal Nat Hentoff on the issue and stop advocating for authoritarianism and the coercion of private companies.
